Kintsugi is a traditional technique of gluing broken or chipped vessels with lacquer and decorating the joints with gold, silver, or vermilion.
Since the Muromachi period (1333-1573), kintsugi has been recognized as an artistic value to enjoy, beyond the role of repair and restoration.

Kintsugi is reviving as a familiar custom. We hope that by raising interest in "Urushi(lacquer)" and increasing the number of people involved in the production of lacquer, the amount of genuine lacquer produced will increase, leading to the preservation of the beautiful culture and art of Japan.
